In 2023, Francesco was diagnosed with insomnia.
As he searched for answers, one thing became clear: even with the curtains closed, his bedroom was never truly dark. Streetlights and city glow leaked through the windows every night, disrupting the natural darkness the body needs to sleep.


That realisation led to the creation of Hibearnate - a way to restore true darkness in urban bedrooms.

Restless nights. One dream.

Our 4 co-founders started Bear back in 2023 with a completely different goal. Thrust together by university but kept together by their common love of engineering, design, sleep and solving the big problems of the world.

Where is Bear going?

Once our first product, Hibearnate, is established as the go to solution for a good night's sleep, we plan to expand into a wide range of products.

We will look at tacking the other big issues which affect our sleep, ranging from noise pollution, to our phones, temperature, humidity and the hundreds of other factors which can stop you from getting your good night's sleep.

No matter where we go though, we will always keep dreaming.
